Welcome to North Fork Seasons by Ronni

Hi! Welcome to the North Fork Seasons food and lifestyle blog!

Since this is my very first post, I wanted to share a bit about who I am and what you can expect from this space. In an increasingly busy world, I intend to keep my posts short, sweet, and informative, always with a splash of seasonal feeling. Please read on if you’d like to get to know me, or feel free to scroll down to jump straight to the first recipe—a delightful salad featuring spring greens, fresh herbs, chives and asparagus, all due to hit the farm stands in early May.

WHO AM I?

My professional life has been largely corporate to date, but I recharge by growing things, perusing farmer’s markets, experimenting in the kitchen, practicing yoga and mastering my camera. I strive for a balance of dedicated work and intentional chill time. Good food and company are the goal at my table, even if I am by myself.

As someone passionate about styling and photography, I enjoy making the everyday look as beautiful as a curated event. However, beneath the "pretty" images is a real person living a real life: every word and photo I share is something I have personally created, grown, selected, touched, or directly observed.

WHAT WILL YOU FIND ON THE BLOG?

This blog is my ongoing love letter to the stunning beauty and abundance that is Long Island’s east end. For nearly twenty years, the North Fork peninsula has been my respite—a quiet escape where life slows down, nature abounds and I can truly reap what I sow. When I’m not in the kitchen, my favorite place to be is my "always-experimental-never-quite-impressive" garden; it’s where I embrace imperfection, celebrate the little things, and can just be myself.

On the blog, I will share seasonal recipes, garden projects and feature local winery, farms and products.

Even if you are not from the area, I hope you will find some little thing to take home with you.

WHY AM I DOING THIS?

The North Fork Seasons site serves as the digital home for my brand and photography services, but more importantly the blog is a space for connection. I want to offer an inclusive, accepting counter to the division we see so often today. I don’t expect to change the world with a few articles and photos, but I can add one more voice of kindness to the collective.

Ultimately, I’m here to create and meet like-minded people who support and lift each other up. Please feel free to reach out or leave a comment on a post. I’d love to hear from you.
